Research/Career Interests
As a population and community ecologist with a focus on avian conservation, I look forward to a second season with the Bell’s Sparrow monitoring team on San Clemente Island! I grew up in North Carolina and studied biology and Spanish at Earlham College in Indiana. Since then I have worked on projects ranging from frosted flatwoods salamander conservation in Florida’s pine flatwoods, to songbird banding in Utah’s canyon bottomlands, to research on army ant following birds in Panama’s tropical forests. I enjoy hiking, running, photography, and exploring new places, and I serve as an editor for a literary arts magazine called antonym.
