Research/Interests
I developed a passion for working with birds during my time at UC Davis. I spent my spring quarters checking nest boxes studying brood parasitism of female Wood Ducks. Since college, I have worked with a variety of avian species on different projects. I surveyed migrating hawks through Golden Gate National Park and the mountains of Washington, monitored the southern population of endangered California Condor, and searched beaches on Camp Pendleton for California Least Terns, and Western Snowy Plovers nests. I am thrilled to have joined the San Clemente Island Loggerhead Shrike team and excited to be working with this truly unique songbird.
