Research/Career Interests

Currently, I am the project lead for the Modoc Plateau Puma Project along with field supervisor for the Modoc Pronghorn project. I started working for IWS in 2019 as a mountain lion and pronghorn technician. In late 2020, I became the lead for the mountain lion project and oversaw field work for the Pronghorn project. My current responsibilities are to investigate mountain lion kill sites to determine prey selection along with setting camera traps on active kills to gather behavioral and growth/survival data of kittens/juveniles. The future plans for this project are to continue gathering movement and food data by equipping mountain lions with GPS satellite collars.

Thanks to IWS, I will be continuing my academic career by studying juvenile dispersal on the Modoc Plateau Puma Project. I will be attending Utah State University in fall 2022 as a graduate student in Dr. Julie Young’s lab.
