Research/Career Interests

I am a seasonal biologist with the Monitoring and Release program for the San Clemente Loggerhead Shrike. My interest in birds began in childhood, and I decided to pursue an environmental path in college, with a focus on avian biology. I have participated in a variety of projects which have included monitoring of nesting birds, tagging and tracking birds such as the American Woodcock and Eastern Whip-poor-will through radio telemetry, and banding songbirds.

I am originally from New Hampshire and my career has taken me across the country where I have worked in West Virginia, Texas, and now California. I am thrilled to be working on San Clemente Island and I am so excited for this field season!
